How many items can I borrow?
At any one time you may have:
- 10 Books
- 10 Audio Books & Music CDs
- 10 Easy Books (Childrens)
- 10 Magazines
- 2 DVD Movies
- 2 VHS Movies
How long is the Check-Out period?
2 weeks: Books, Audiobooks, Music CDs, Magazines
5 Days: DVD & VHS movies
What if I lose my card?
You should come to a circulation desk and tell a staff member you lost your card. You may be asked to show identification. The staff member will issue you a new card. The first replacement card is free, and each additional card will cost $1.00.
Can I still you the library's services if I forgot my card?
Yes & No. You can still come to the library and use our materials. However, you can't check out anything or use a computer.
Can I get a card if I'm a minor?
Absolutely! However, your legal guardian must sign the membership form. Minors are also eligible for a Temporary Card. This Card allows you to check out two items (except movies). It does not allow you to use a workstation.
Can I get a card if I live outside APLD's district?
Yes. If you live within the Lawrenceburg Public Library District or the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County District, you may join our library for free through our reciprocal programs with those libraries.
If you're an Indiana resident and a member of your home library and that library is a member of the Indiana State Reciporcal Program, you may join our library for free.
If you're an Indiana resident and a member of your home library, but that library doesn't belong to the Indiana State Reciprocal Program you may puchase a PLAC card for $50/year.
